Guess who is 1!

Courtney was born May 20, 2008. It was a Tuesday morning at 6:54. She was 7lbs 2oz and 19 inches long. She came out bright eyed and ready to eat.

June 2008 Courtney at one month old. She was getting used to the world around her and being loved by her sisters and parents.

July 2008 Two months old. She was becoming more interactive and smiling.

August 2008 Courtney at Three months old. She was the baldest out of the three. That is okay, right? As Jeremy would say there is nothing wrong with being bald.

September 2008 Courtney at four months old.
Having more floor time and discovering the world around her.

October 2008 Five months old. She made a cute little pumpkin for Halloween. She definitely had the checks for it. She was sitting up really well by this time and full of smiles.

November 2008 Six months old. She was actually starting to get a little hair. In some lights it has a red tint.

December 2008 Seven months old. Courtney's first Christmas.

January 2009 Eight months old.
You never know what you will find when you actually get the laundry done.

February 2009 Nine months old. She was getting more and more busy all of the time but she is always full of smiles.

March 2009 Ten months old. She was a pro at crawling by this age and getting into anything see could get her hands on.

April 2009 Eleven months old. This was the month in which Courtney had her allergic reactions, Erythema Multiforme. We are so glad to be past that. She is doing tons better. We hope to never have that problem again.

May 2009 ONE YEAR Old! We made it. We all survived her first year. It has been great and we are glad she is part of our family. Happy Birthday Courtney.

Due to the length of this post there will be another soon with highlights of the birthday fun.

Graduation

Last night little miss Shaylee graduated from Busy Bee Preschool. Let me tell you, she is one busy bee. She and another little boy kept playing around. They were shaking the projector screen on the stage, then during one of the songs they were trying to knock each others hats off. I felt so bad. I apologized to the mom of the little boy and she told be it was no big deal and that her and her husband couldn't stop laughing about it. I guess I just needed a little perspective. One set of parents finding the humor in it and Jeremy and me ready to put her in a time out. One thing is for sure we will have fond memories to smile back on of the event. This is a picture of the before mentioned projector screen. I caught this shot of the shadows of the preschool kids with the flag in the back. I know I may be silly but I thought it was kind of a neat little picture. The kids sang patriotic songs and songs about the things they learned. One of Shaylee's favorite was the months of the year song. I'll have to catch in on the digital camera and post it sometime. She has been singing in for weeks now. They all had a little part that they said. We were supposed to practice them ahead of time with the kids but when I asked Shaylee to tell me her part she wouldn't because she said it was a surprise. She did great! I guess she didn't need my help on that one. She is growing up so fast.
Shaylee's favorite part was the cookies and punch. After it was all over and time for refreshment she didn't even come over to see us she went straight for the cookies and punch. What a cutie!Kelsi also enjoyed the cookies and punch.Grandma Buck came to show her support. Thanks for coming! We are so proud of her and how well she did in Preschool. She is looking forward to Kindergarten and I know she will do great there also. Here is Shaylee with her teacher, Susan Norton. She does a great job with the kids. It has been a joy to have her teach both of my older girls and hope she is still teaching when it comes time for Courtney to go to preschool. One thing that Susan said she learned from Shaylee was that if you smell water you need to be careful so you don't get water in your nose. Thanks Susan for a great year at preschool!
Stay tuned someone is turning one today and there will be a special birthday post.

Track Meet

Kelsi had her first grade track meet this morning. She did great and had lots of fun. She participated in the ball bounce, the jump rope and the 50 yard dash. They also had a class relay in which all kids and classes participated.
The first event was the ball bounce she had 53 bounces in 30 seconds.

The next event she was in was the jump rope event. She got a little discouraged with this one but she had fun. I filmed her with the digital camera and forgot that you can't turn it sideways when filming. In the screen it turns it the right way but not when you upload it, so sorry for the sideways picture.

After the jump rope was the 50 yard dash. I was so busy trying to get it on film that i didn't see who won. Next time I'll have to film from the finish line so I can see the results.

I almost missed filming Kelsi's run in the class relay because I was busy watching the race. Her class did great. They won!

Kelsi ended up with two 1st place ribbons and a 5th and 6th place ribbon. One first place was for the class relay and one was for the ball bounce. The 5th and 6th place were for the jump rope and the 50 yard dash but I am not sure which one was for which. She did great and we are so proud of her.

Shaylee had fun watching, running around and playing in the dirt.

Courtney was really good but she got tired toward the end. She ended up falling to sleep in the stroller for awhile. She was a real trooper.
Afterward we got some lunch at the Eaglesroost (a snack bar by the school). Eagleburgers, french fries, a hot dog and snow cones. It was great fun!
